quick or easy cure for Hate An article was published in the Orlando Sentinel on November 28, 2000 entitled "No quick or easy cure for hate" by Stan K.Sujka. This is one of the most vicious articles we've seen in some time. A copy of the article can be found at: http://orlandosentinel.com/orl-edpmyword26112600nov26.story Here's a response by Jeffrey Alan Sacks on November 27, 2000. It's outrageous that the Sentinel would publish Stan Sujka's article on "Hate". It's a vicious slander of Palestinians. He says parents "chauffeur" children to the riot areas, that they " feed the corpses of their children to the world's public" that they are "rabid", etc. I'm Jewish, but I do know many Palestinians and by and large they don't hate. They're justifiably angry that they were driven from their homes, that their cities and refugee camps are surrounded by Jewish-only roads and army posts and that their standards of living get lower each year. Young people take the lead in fighting on their own. As a recent article in the UK's Independent makes clear, they are in the front ranks throwing stones, with sling shots and sometimes with a bottle of gasoline. Their actual danger to Israeli soldiers is minimal. Shooting them is wrong. |
