DECEIT, PRESSURE, AND THREATS ARE USED TO ABROGATE PALESTINIAN RIGHTS

Have we been sacrificing for 52 years so that we get 3 cantons linked by Israeli controlled roads. We could have settled for a lot more than that at anytime till Oslo came and corrupted our cause. Please see enclosed articles, and take half an hour of your time to look over the points, formulate a response/letter, and send to the addresses provided.

Tasks/ Talking Points

1. Read enclosed articles, noting the unfair specifics pointed out by the Palestinian concerns ans reservations;

2. Formulate your objections.

3. Write letters to the addresses given, retiterating the Palestinian concerns, lack of specificity, remind Clinton that the deal he makes gives him a name in history and saves Barak's career but the Palestinians will forever be the ones to live with it and it is unacceptable (for the reasons you clearly stated)

4. Include objections to the undue hostility and pressure on Arafat to agree, without addressing Palestinian concerns frankly and honestly, while retaining all Israeli interests.

5. Remind Clinton, Albright, etc - they were suppose to be "honest brokers" and pose the question to them, have they abandoned that position in favor of becoming surrogates to speak for, promote, and negotiate Israeli interests only? Demand they maintain their integrity, remain neutral, give serious consideration to Palestinian concerns and work towards finding equitable solutions RATHER THAN placing undue pressure on Arafat and the Palestinian people to accept any American proposal just to find fast solutions, even where these proposals are inequitable and our concerns are legitimate.

6. Remind them in the final analysis, it is about Palestine, not U.S. interests, and Palestinians will not be cursing Arafat, but the Clinton administration for bringing us this legacy; we WILL curse Arafat if he folds to undue pressure, does not pursue Palestinian concerns which is his first and foremost objective as our leader (what is so unreasonable about a Palestinian leader looking out for PALESTINIAN rights and interests? he has every right to proceed with caution, explain his reservations, demand clear answers, and renegotiate if the answers are unsatisfactory).
